The Stage Door is proud to announce auditions for “A Piece of my Heart,” by Shirley Lauro, recently named the “most enduring play on Vietnam in the nation” by the Vietnam Vets Association. Auditions are set for February 17 and 18 from 7:00-9:00 p.m. nightly. “A Piece of my Heart” will be directed by Denise Harris.
“A Piece of my Heart” is a powerful, true drama of six women who went to Vietnam: five nurses and a country western singer booked by an unscrupulous agent to entertain the troops. The play portrays each young woman before, during, and after her tour in the war-torn jungle and ends as each leaves a personal token at The Wall in Washington.

Auditions will consist of cold readings from the script. Those auditioning need to provide a theater resume, a headshot (if one is not available, the theater will take a photo for a $1.00 fee), and a list of rehearsal conflicts from February 24 – April 13.
